Large capacity refrigerated centrifuge is equipment often used in physical and chemical experiments. In order to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the experiment and extend the life of the equipment, the experimenter must follow the following operating procedures.
(1) Inspection of the equipment before the start of the experiment, including checking whether the bolts are loose, whether the drum is firmly connected to the main shaft, whether the braking device is complete and effective, and whether the power supply is reliable.
(2) Take two centrifuge tubes, weigh them on a balance, and adjust the amount of material in the tubes to make the relative weights of the two tubes and their sleeves equal. If there is only one material, it can be filled with clear water to balance it. Place the centrifuge tube containing the material in the metal tube sleeve of the centrifuge, and if necessary, put a layer of cotton on the bottom of the tube.
(3) Put the centrifuge tube and its sleeve into the centrifuge moving plate according to the symmetrical position, and cover the cover.
(4) Turn on the power and slowly move the pointer of the speed regulator to the required speed scale for a certain period of time (about 5 min).
(5) After reaching a certain time, slowly turn the pointer of the speed regulator to zero. Then turn off the power.
(6) After the moving plate automatically stops rotating, the centrifuge cover can be opened to take out the centrifuge tube. Take care when taking out the centrifuge tube. Do not allow the precipitated material to rise due to vibration and cause turbidity.
(7) When using the centrifuge, if the centrifuge is vibrating and there is noise, the internal weight is unbalanced. If there is a metal sound, it often means that the internal test tube is broken. It should be stopped immediately for inspection.
(8) Finally, check thoroughly and cut off the power supply.
